Over the years our Golden Neighbour Program has grown to be one of the most popular ways to support our work. Perhaps it is because when you donate to the Golden Neighbour Program not only do you support the theatre you also give someone, perhaps an entire family, a couple of hours of the magic that is live theatre.
Many people in our community never see a play. Other necessities of life put a night or an afternoon at the theatre way down the list. They never get to experience the magic that happens when a talented group of actors, directors and designers gives their all to create two unique hours of entertainment. That's why Chemainus Theatre and the United Way are once again partnering in the Golden Neighbour program - live theatre experiences for those who normally are not able to attend. The program is simple: you buy tickets at $25 each and we ensure, through our United Way partners, that a couple, a family or child is treated to a memorable night of professional live theatre.
Since the inception of the Golden Neighbours Program hundreds of individuals and families have enjoyed the Chemainus Theatre Festival experience. Here is what some of the participants have had to say:

Please be as generous as you possibly can. A tax receipt will be issued for any amount that you are able to contribute. But, saving money on taxes is nothing compared to the feeling you get when you give someone an unforgettable night. Imagine the happiness!
