"A magical triumph!" - The Los Angeles Times
The Chemainus Theatre Festival is pleased to present the first show of the 2006 Season, Enchanted April, based on the best selling novel by Elizabeth von Armin.
This award-winning play, set in the 1920s is a journey of discovery...from inhibition to unrestrained joy. Two dejected Hampstead housewives, Lotty and Rose, search for the magic in their own lives by renting an Italian villa for one glorious month. When young socialite Lady Caroline Bramble, and the elderly Mrs. Graves join them, an unlikely friendship begins as they find adventure, romance and laughter amidst the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
Joining Director Jeremy Tow on the creative team are Scenery & Lighting Designer Kevin McAllister, Costume Designer Kendra Cooper, Sound Designer David Snider, and Stage Manager David Baughan.
CTF is pleased to present a wonderful cast for this production: Mark DuMez, Samantha Madely, Emma Claire Miller, Erin Ormond, Dirk van Stralen, Kevin Williamson, Anita Wittenberg and Donna Carroll White.
The Gala Opening for Enchanted April is February 16, and the show runs until April 1st.
