The director for this production is Marek Czuma. Marek has directed and acted in over 30 plays, and has appeared in numerous TV and film productions. Arsenic and Old Lace is Marek's second directing credit for the Festival. Last year he directed See How They Run. As an actor Marek has appeared on the Chemainus stage as Sir Robert Chiltern in An Ideal Husband, and as Sherlock Holmes in Hound of the Baskervilles.

Chemainus Theatre Festival aficionados will certainly recognize three of the stars of the show: Margaret Martin (Queen Milli of Galt, It's A Wonderful Life) and Kathleen West (Pirates of Penzance, It's A Wonderful Life) return as the Brewster Sisters; David Snider (I Do! I Do!, Barefoot in the Park - to name but two) plays the befuddled Mortimer. Josh Reynolds (The Dunsmuirs) returns to portray the sinister Jonathan, with Mitch Pollock (Pirates of Penzance, A Streetcar Named Desire) as his sidekick, Dr. Einstein. Neil Gallagher (See How They Run) plays the rambunctious Teddy Brewster. The cast is rounded out by Brian Linds (Barefoot in the Park), Samantha McKenna (Heidi, An Ideal Husband), Andrew Cooper (An Ideal Husband), and two newcomers to the CTF stage: Michael Charrois and Joel Redmond, both from Vancouver. The stage manager is David Baughan. The design team includes: Kevin McAllister (scenery & lighting), Norma Bowen (costumes) and Jim Kent (sound design).

Don't miss one of the best comedies of all time Arsenic & Old Lace at the Chemainus Theatre Festival.
