David Baughan
Stage Manager
Born in England, David has a background as a theatre stage manager, lighting designer, and photographer. Stage management credits in BC include numerous productions for TheatreOne (Nanaimo), Graffiti Theatre (Salt Spring Island), and Chemainus Theatre Festival (CTF). He is pleased to return for his 12th production at CTF where he will also be the production stage manager for Saint Joan and South Pacific. David's photography has been exhibited in European capitals, the United States, and Canada. His photographs are held in the Musée national d'art moderne collection in Paris.

Ryan Beil
Sandy Tyrell
Ryan Beil holds a BFA in Acting from the University of British Columbia. He also holds a Jessie Richardson Award for 'Most Promising Newcomer'. Chemainus audiences might remember Ryan from last season, when he played Jay in Lost In Yonkers. This summer he will make his debut at Bard on The Beach in Twelfth Night and King Lear. Ryan stars in and co-produces Vancouver's most successful weekly comedy night, The Sunday Service. He thanks his family, friends and beautiful wife Carolyn. He was born and raised in Vancouver, BC.

Norma Bowen
Judith Bliss
Norma is a graduate of Studio 58 and an associate artist of CTF. Before leaving Vancouver she collected two Jessie Award nominations for Fool for Love (Arts Club) and a Lie of the Mind (Vancouver Playhouse). Favourite CTF credits include: Private Lives , Annie, See How They Run, An Ideal Husband, She Stoops to Conquer, A Doll's House and A Miracle On 34th Street. Robin Boxwell
Sound Designer
Robin is once again happy to be a part of the Chemainus team. He has recently been working on The Nutcracker (Ballet Kelowna), Goodnight Desdimona, Good Morning Juliette and Oh! What a Lovely War (Malaspina College Theatre Dept). Last Season Robin did sound designs for CTF: Murder On The Nile and Anything Goes. Robin is looking forward to working on South Pacific for Chemainus Theatre and Leading Ladies (Bard to Broadway). Enjoy the show.

Ruth Brown
Jackie Coryton
This marks Ruth's Chemainus Theatre debut. She has worked for numerous theatre companies including: Citadel Theatre, Arts Club Theatre, Pacific Theatre; and, Green Thumb Theatre on a coast to coast four month North American tour. Ruth holds a BFA Double Major in Acting and English Literature from UBC and continued her training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England. She works as an actor in Vancouver's independent film industry; in voice-over work; as a dramaturge, and is an Artistic Member for Meta.for Theatre Company.

Kendra Cooper
Costume Designer
Kendra is excited to return for Hay Fever. It has been a rich experience and a rewarding show. CTF credits include Miracle On 34th Street, A Perfect Wife, and Enchanted April. Kendra calls Vancouver home but travels frequently to work in Canadian theatres. Thank you to Élisè Packee CTF Head of Wardrobe for all her hard work - past and present. She wants to especially thank the wardrobe volunteers. Thank you to Patsy Thomas (The Banff Centre and Citadel Theatre) for her help with rentals.

William Groth
David Bliss
William Groth is a 30 year veteran of the stage. He has worked in regional theatres in almost every state in the U.S. and is happy to be back on Vancouver Island. He appeared here as Doctor Rank, A Doll's House; Colonel Pickering, My Fair Lady; Louie and Eddie, Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers; Lord Hardcastle, She Stoops To Conquer; Harpagon in The Miser and numerous characters in Miracle On 34th Street. When not busy working in regional theatre, William resides in New York City.

Daryl King
Simon Bliss
Daryl was born and raised on the prairies. A true cowboy he grew up chasing cattle and harvesting wheat and barley on his grandfather's farm. Recent theatre credits include Tree Boy (Green Thumb), Romeo & Juliet and The Taming Of The Shrew (Bard on the Beach), The Soldier's Tale (Vancouver Symphony), Show Down (Green Thumb), and Shakespeare's R&J (Mad Duck). A graduate of Studio 58, Daryl was the 2006 recipient of the Antony Holland Scholarship for Outstanding Ability in Theatre Arts and the Touchstone Theatre Scholarship in 2005.

Margaret Martin
Clara
Hay Fever marks Margaret's seventh appearance at Chemainus Theatre Festival. Other Chemainus credits include Anne of Green Gables, The Mousetrap, The Importance of Being Earnest, It's a Wonderful Life, Queen Milli of Galt, and Arsenic and Old Lace. A resident of Victoria, she was recently seen in Homechild at the Belfry Theatre. In her 33 years as a professional actor Margaret has worked in nearly every province in Canada. She has also worked extensively in radio and television, but her first love is the theatre.

Julie McIsaac
Sorel Bliss
Julie is thrilled to be back in Chemainus; CTF credits include Little Women, Munsch Alley and My Fair Lady. A graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts, Julie appeared this past year in Puss in Boots (Alberta Opera), The Shape of Things (Twenty-Something), Out Like Flynn (Fugue), and Seussical (Carousel). Next up is The Tempest and Titus Andronicus at Bard on the Beach in Vancouver. Much love to ever-supportive family and friends, and great thanks to the stellar staff and artists of CTF!

Richard Greatham
David is delighted to return to the Chemainus Festival, where he first appeared in 2006's A Christmas in Wales. A Vancouver resident, he has performed at that city's Arts Club and Playhouse theatres, as well as in productions across western Canada. Credits include such plays as Cabaret, Amadeus, Pygmalion, And Then There Were None, Twelfth Night and The Hobbit. Chemainus audiences will be seeing him again this summer in Saint Joan and South Pacific.

John is very pleased to be back working at Chemainus once again. He started designing in Vancouver in the early 1990's and over the years has had the privilege of working with some of the city's most talented and adventurous artists, receiving many design awards and nominations along the way. Recent highlights include: Peer Gynt with Blackbird Theatre (Jessie Richardson Award for Outstanding Lighting Design), Recovery with Rumble Productions (Jessie Richardson Award Nomination for Outstanding Lighting Design), and Copper Thunderbird with Urban Ink and the National Arts Centre.

Sam Whittingham
Scenic Designer
After graduating from UVIC, Sam spent 10 years with many of Canada's top theatres such as the Stratford and Shaw Festivals before settling on Quadra Island with his family. Sam can also been seen in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest man on a bicycle. Previous designs for CTF include Pirates of Penzance, You Never Can Tell, Hello, Dolly!, The Sound of Music, An Ideal Husband, Anything Goes, Murder on the Nile and several others.

Anita Wittenberg
Myra Arundel
Anita appeared in last season's A Perfect Wife. She is thrilled to join this wonderful cast and this spring to celebrate ten years in Chemainus with husband Jeremy and lovely children, Sebastian and Emma. For CTF: Chickens, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Heiress, Candida, See How They Run, Enchanted April, and Lost in Yonkers. Other favourites: Holy Mo and Spew Boy (Pacific Theatre, Vancouver - "Jessie" Award nomination), Romeo and Juliet (Stage One, Louisville, Kentucky), Ethan Claymore (The Belfry) and Prelude (Itinerant Theatre, Chicago).
