Michaela Davidson, one of the West Coast's most prominent, award winning artists, lives and works at her Art & Gift Gallery, situated in Lake Cowichan, B.C. She was born in Victoria and educated at the University of Alberta and the Banff School of Fine Arts. During that period, Michaela painted mostly in oils and acrylics, but upon moving back to the West, found the exciting medium of watercolours, perfect for expressing the spirit and movement of the beautiful rolling mists and pristine waterways.

Michaela is also known for her creative work with stained, fused and slumped glass and has produced many windows and art pieces for private and corporate collections.

Her paintings have been said to depict the unique beauty and tranquility of our area and can be found in collections around the world.
