Chemainus Theatre Festival presents
Mr. Pim Passes By
by A. A. Milne
From the writer of Winnie-the-Pooh comes this delightful grown up comedy. Absolutely charming and whimsical...the original 1929 production of Mr. Pim Passes By took London and New York by storm. Since then, this play has been produced world-wide and is now a classic - its brilliant comedic wit continues to delight and amuse!
Mr. and Mrs. Marden have the perfect life. Perfect, that is, until Mr. Pim passes by. He bumbles in, asks for directions, and leaves behind some startling news: Mrs. Marden's first husband, the one everyone thought had died in Australia long ago, is very much alive!
The playwright A. A. Milne is best known world-wide for his endearing children's books: the series of Winnie-the-Pooh, and Toad of Toad Hall. As well as writing plays and novels Milne also wrote humours pieces for England's famous Punch Magazine.
