My Artistic Journey began as a Stained Glass Artist in the 70's. I loved the challenge of working with glass and fell in love with color and the design process. This led to painting on silk with French dyes and it was the vibrant bright colors that fascinated me. A move to Texas - Dallas/Forth Worth - led to painting with watercolors and teaching art. I studied with many artists and also at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. I have Signature Member status with SWA in Texas.
A move to Vancouver Island in 2003 led to painting a coastal series. I have been influenced by living on the Straight of Georgia and I am inspired by the seasons - from sunrise to sunset. I am a colourist and love the process of painting. And the journey continues...

My interest in botanical painting and drawing began over 25 years ago when we moved from Toronto to Carlisle, Ontario where the superb soil of our glacial moraine is good for growing practically anything~ particularly flowers. Irises, one of the first flowers I knew as a child, have been a special passion ever since.
